Eric Clapton - Slowhand

I love this album.

The first song is "Cocaine." The song is a cover of J.J. Cale. The guitars are mindblowing when they play together. One has a solid beat, and a very catchy tune, which means that the other guitar can play some awesome music.
This album was named "Slowhand" because Slowhand was Eric Clapton's nickname. He would bend the guitar strings so much that they would snap, and the audience would do "slowhand" clapping while he replaced them.
The next song is called "Wonderful Tonight." It is a much softer, simpler song. This song is, perfect for evenings, or "slow-dancing." This is one of my second favorite song on this album.
This album rated three hundred twenty-five in the Rolling Stones' Top 500 Albums of All Time!
The third song is "Lay Down Sally." This song is very danceable to. It is quite fast and fun. It has a impressive guitar solo. It is also very catchy...
The next song is "Next Time You See Her." This song sounds very sweet. A gentle melody, a love song... But, it also has a death threat tucked into the lyrics. A very sweet song!
Eric Clapton is the ONLY artist to have been inducted into the Hall of Fame three times!
The fifth song is "We're All the Way." This is a cover of Don Williams. This song is very gentle. It is very calm and great for the evening.
Eric Clapton collects Ferrari's... He bought one for three million dollars! That particular model was never made again.
This song ("The Core") starts with a funky guitar which leads onto great singing. This song is the longest of the album, going on for eight minutes and forty-five seconds.
Eric wished he had stayed in one band for longer, Blind Faith.
The seventh song is called "May You Never." This song is perfect for every occasion. It also has meaningful lyrics.
Harvard University named 4305 Clapton after Eric Clapton. It is located in the asteroid belt. It is two hundred fifty-six kilometers (one hundred fifty-nine and seventy-one thousands miles) away from Earth!
The next song is "Mean Old Frisco." It is a cover of Arthur "Big Boy" Crudup. I think it sounds like country music. It has a lot of awesome guitar solos...
Until Eric Clapton was nine years old he did not know that his "sister" was actually his mother!
The last song is "Peaches and Diesel." It starts with beautiful guitar playing. It sounds as if it was a soundtrack for the bittersweet ending of a movie. The guitar sections are split with a drum solo. This song is my favorite on Slowhand.

Overall Rating
5/5 stars. I do not see any way in which this album could be made better. I love this album!

Prince and The Revolution - Around the World in a Day

Credit to allmusic.com

I like this album.

The start of the first song, "Around the World in a Day," was a shock. It sounded as if it was for a horror movie! It had screaming and weird sci-fi noises. But, after the shock the song was very danceable to.
You know, Prince refused to publish these as singles until AFTER the full album came out! He wanted people to get the full experience.
The second song is "Paisley Park" (his record company was Paisley Park Records, but he was writing about the place Paisley Park). I prefer this song to the first one. This song tells fascinating stories about people who come to Paisley Park (which is in their hearts) to escape their life.
This album was an important one for Prince because, it introduced new instruments and styles to Prince's albums.
The third song is "Condition of the Heart." This song is a much softer, more relaxing song. Very suited as an evening song...
This album was more popular in the USA than in the UK (reaching #1 in the billboard for the US, and #5 for the UK).
"Raspberry Beret" is a much more energetic song. This is a song about love, but is just a bit of fun!
Raspberry Beret (coming out as a single) placed #2 in the USA, and number #25 in the UK.
The 5th song, "Tamborine." This is a very different song to the others. I do not like it so much. It is quite odd. I like the instruments, I just don't like the singing as much as I do for other Prince songs...
I bet you didn't know that, since Prince is a Jehovah's Witness, he will not swear in his songs!
The 6th song, "America" is a great song. The lyrics are great, the singing is great, the music is great, how could the song not be great?
Did you realize that Prince played guitar for Madonna (who he dated for a while) in "Love Song?"
The 7th song is "Pop Culture." This is a dance tune. It has an awesome guitar. The tune and chorus is catchy... I like how the overall tune doesn't change, it just added onto, and removed from.
Prince has written over 600 tracks, beating The Beatles!
And, up comes the 8th song, "The Ladder." I like how it is talking, almost like telling a story, but to music. And, then it breaks into song, beautiful. The moral is also important...
When Prince was 10, he performed (on stage) with James Brown. His stepdad put him on the stage, and Prince danced until security took him off.
The last song is "Temptation." This is a great song! It really shows Prince's vocal range. I like how the background music is not complex. I love the hahaha at 3:26... The last minute is a bit freaky with all the "DIE..." But, he learned his lesson, and consequently did not "DIE."

Overall Rating
4.5/5 stars. The reason for the album not reaching 5 stars is, I do not like "Tamborine" as much as other songs...
